“long-standing dream has been to contribute to meaningful change in education”

As a student, I was never entirely convinced that conventional education could bring out the best in every learner. I often questioned the one-size-fits-all approach to teaching and developed an early belief that education should adapt to students and not expect every student to adapt to the same system.

My long-standing dream has been to contribute to meaningful change in education, even if that change is gradual.

My own approach to learning became deeply personalised. Rather than relying on a single method, I adapted my strategy according to the demands of each subject and topic. I created clear and concise notes, separated concepts that required understanding from those that required memorisation, and identified key words that could later be expanded into complete answers. For conceptual topics, I explored multiple sources until I found an explanation that truly made sense. This process shaped not only the way I learned, but eventually the way I taught.

My love for teaching emerged when I first witnessed the tangible impact of personalised guidance. During school, I was paired with a classmate whom I helped with Social Science. Watching my classmate progress from struggling to pass to achieving a high score became a defining experience for me. It showed me that academic performance was not simply a measure of innate ability. With the right effort, guidance, and teaching approach, a student's potential could change dramatically.

Today, I work as a tutor at a medical college. The most rewarding moments often come after examinations, when students reach out to tell me that my notes or coaching helped them perform better. For me, these messages are more than appreciation. They are evidence that effective teaching can genuinely change a student's academic journey.
